If you are looking for a modest day trip, starting in the Bellingham area, you most likely will want to go to the local Salmon Ridge SnoPark. (Salmon Ridge SnoPark Trails | Nooksack Nordic Ski Club) I’d recommend starting at the White Salmon Campground across the highway or on the first part of the Razor Hone Trail.

If it is truly your first time, you might want to go with friends or sign up for your first 1/2 hour lesson where you might meet with a club member to get started out the trails. Once started, then ‘Practice, practice, practice!’
