Wood Skis
The all time classic. The smell of pine tar. Lignostone edges. Waxes.
They range from very light and skinny to very wide. If you have them, go
use them.
They aren't really very practical. But save a pair - they are fun to
take out on the 'wooden ski races'! You get more points if you use your
bamboo poles too!
The 3 numbers: They cover quite the range but tend to be almost the
same, meaning there is very little sidecut. The edges are basically
straight. They also tend to become rounded with age and use, so that you should not expect that crisp feel when cornering.
